A Solution to the Voynich Manuscript

February 27, 2009 2 comments

Some dude emailed me privately his solution to the Voynich Manuscript. The email consisted of a cipher page showing how each symbol in the manuscript is to be deciphered into “Old Latin”, and then a sample page (f80v) from the manuscript that he had decoded.

The page he chose is this one:

Some extracts from his translation:

“Boiled kidney cauliflower in boil with saved peach rice fried.”

“Bread together with hedgehog kidney salted in gruel fresh pale dry.”

Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
